Dr. Clawson is in-network with Regence and is in the process of contracting with Premera.
Out of Network/
Self-Pay
Self-pay evaluations range from $1,600-$4,000. Dr. Clawson charges $200/hour, and evaluations typically take her 8-20 hours to complete depending on the referral question(s), complexity, etc. Payment is required at the time of the evaluation.
For evaluations not in-network with insurance, a superbill is available listing diagnoses and procedures billed. Most families can use this to obtain out-of-network reimbursement for a portion of the evaluation. You can also use your Health Savings Account (HSA) card.
School Meetings &
Consultations
Dr. Clawson charges $200/hour for consultation appointments and school meetings. Academic-related services are not covered by insurance, but insurance coverage (in-network with Regence and Premera) may be available for consultations.
No Surprises Act
In accordance with the No Surprises Act, you have the right to information about the anticipated cost of services. We provide a “good faith estimate,” or estimate of expected charges, prior to all evaluations.

All evaluations include:

Review of relevant records (e.g., medical records, school records, prior evaluations, etc.)

Collection of collateral information, such as interviews with therapists, teachers, etc. (as indicated and following written consent)

A written report summarizing test findings, diagnoses, and recommendations

Feedback session(s) to review test results and recommendations
Dr. Clawson works to balance minimizing the expense for families with comprehensive, quality care. Depending on the referral question, degree of complexity, and age of the youth, evaluations may take Dr. Clawson a total of 8-20 hours.
